Velocio PLC firmware 4.03 Historical minimum: vBuilder 2.33+

Historical release

Firmware 4.03 for legacy Velocio PLC maintenance.

The legacy download page identified this package as firmware version 4.03. Its published release log begins at 4.01 and does not provide a separate description of changes introduced specifically in 4.03.

01

Archived package

The download ZIP contains the original firmware-vplc-4-03.vbl file. Extract it before opening vBuilder.

02

vBuilder 2.33 or newer

The historical page requires vBuilder 2.33 or higher to perform this firmware installation.

03

Revision check required

This page cannot determine whether firmware 4.03 is correct for the connected PLC hardware.

04

Backup before updating

Save the known-good vBuilder project, machine settings, tag map, and current firmware information first.

Firmware download

Velocio PLC firmware 4.03

Use only after confirming the target controller and reviewing the complete installation precautions. The historical minimum installer version is vBuilder 2.33. The archived VBL file is 824,805 bytes.

Installation tutorial

Review the original update walkthrough before connecting.

Velocio published this video to demonstrate the firmware update workflow in vBuilder. Interface details may differ in later software, so follow the prompts in the qualified vBuilder release used for the controller.

Before selecting the file

Make the update recoverable.

  • Identify the PLC model, hardware revision, currently installed firmware, and machine owner.
  • Open and save the known-good application with an appropriate vBuilder release.
  • Confirm vBuilder is version 2.33 or higher, as required by the historical release page.
  • Use stable controller power and a direct, reliable USB connection.
  • Plan downtime and prevent the machine from moving while controller maintenance is in progress.
  1. 1

Download, extract, and retain the VBL file.

Extract and save firmware-vplc-4-03.vbl with the machine’s maintenance record. Do not substitute a similarly named file from an unverified source.

  2. 2

Back up and connect with vBuilder.

Preserve the application and machine settings, connect directly to the intended PLC, and verify that the software is communicating with that controller before opening the firmware update workflow.

  3. 3

Select firmware 4.03 only for a confirmed target.

Follow the video and vBuilder prompts to select the downloaded VBL package. Re-check the connected controller identity before authorizing the update.

  4. 4

    Do not interrupt the transfer.

Maintain power and communication until vBuilder reports completion. Then reconnect, confirm the firmware version, restore or verify the application, and test I/O safely before returning to service.
