Develop, test, and learn—without connecting real hardware.

The Simulator is the perfect companion for our eAce222, eAce5150 and eAce5190 Embedded PLCs, allowing you to develop, test, and troubleshoot PLC programs before connecting to actual sensors and actuators. Whether you're building a new system, minimizing downtime during upgrades, or learning PLC programming, the Simulator provides a safe and convenient environment to validate your logic.

Use the built-in switches, knobs, and LEDs to simulate real-world inputs and monitor outputs in real time. When you're ready, connect actual devices one at a time using the optional external I/O ports, making the transition from simulation to deployment simple and reliable.

Compatibility

The Simulator works with the eAce222, eAce5150 and eAce5190 Embedded PLCs, in either the v5 or v10 version. The c versions (eAce 222c, eAce 5150c and eAce 5190c) are not supported. It is not designed for our other PLCs.

If you are working with the standard versions of our PLCs, we recommend the Simulator Stick.

Key Features

  • Simulate both digital and analog inputs without external hardware.
  • Test PLC programs before connecting real sensors and actuators.
  • Connect real I/O alongside simulated I/O for incremental system testing.
  • Individual pin selection allows each input to be simulated or connected to real hardware.
  • Built-in knobs for analog input simulation.
  • Built-in switches for digital input simulation.
  • LEDs provide instant visual feedback for digital outputs.
  • Supports both 0–5 V and 0–10 V analog input ranges.
  • Designed for the eAce222, eAce5150 and eAce5190 Embedded PLCs, in v5 or v10 versions (not the c versions). Not designed for our other PLCs.

Benefits

  • Reduce development time by testing software before hardware is available.
  • Minimize system downtime during upgrades and commissioning.
  • Verify control logic before deployment.
  • Ideal for classrooms, training labs, and PLC education.
  • Safely experiment with automation projects without risking connected equipment.

Optional Connections

The Simulator can be configured with optional external connectors for:

  • Analog Input Port
  • Digital Input Port
  • Digital Output Port

These allow you to mix simulated and real-world signals, enabling flexible testing and gradual system integration.
